NICE TO MEET YOU
I'm Cathy Warnes
I never imagined I would have a business that helps women build a better midlife experience. I've created what I needed when my own midlife came rushing over me in my early 40's.
You are not alone, my midlife friend. Read "My Story" below. I'll bet you can relate to some part of it. Trust me, I have been where you are.

My Story
Let's get real here....
When I turned 40, I had no idea how unprepared I was for this midlife stage. In those first few years I went through perimenopause (age 41), menopause (age 42) and have been post-menopausal for 13 years now. Yep, I have been through all the "pauses".
Along the way, I was diagnosed with osteoporosis and pre-diabetes. I suffered the physical and emotional symptoms of those wonderful hormonal imbalances including weight gain, hot flashes, insomnia, brain fog, mood swings, and many others that seem like too much to share in print here.
As if this wasn't enough, my dad had suddenly passed away. I was struggling with my new role parenting adolescents.
I felt burnt out in my career, and some of my close relationships felt stale at this point in my life.
Through it all, I kept thinking "there has to be a better way to go through middle age". I wanted to feel like myself again.
I started searching middle age online.
None of what I was discovering left me feeling that positive about it.
I don't remember anyone ever really talking about any of this stuff, or maybe I was too busy living my young adult life to give my aging experience much thought.
Why would I?
I felt a little overwhelmed and frustrated with the physical and emotional changes of this stage.
It was nice to hear from other women who were also experiencing the same things, but that didn't actually make it any better.
There has to be a better way through this...
So, I set out on a mission to learn how to realistically and simply build a slightly better midlife experience than the one I was having at the time.
I wanted to learn how to help myself through this stage, and then also help other women, too.
You see, after reading "all the books", I discovered that by making some simple lifestyle changes, I could more easily navigate these changes and get the results I wanted in my health.
I tried to make those lifestyle changes on my own, but it was hard to stick with it. And when I did stick to a goal, it felt like I was either always depriving myself or pushing myself.
So, eventually I would get discouraged and give up.
I finally realized that I needed to learn the best way to form HABITS.
Then, I could make the lifestyle changes that the "books", research, and my Dr. said would help me lose weight, exercise more, manage my stress, improve my sleep, etc.
I didn't want to just read more about how to form habits. I wanted to get trained to help myself and other midlife women actually form habits.
Having the knowledge alone doesn't help you form habits. Read all the books you want, but this alone won't get you results.
So, I found a year long health and life coach training that focused on habit formation.
It was the answer I was searching for.
I became a habit trained health and life coach.
In that year, as I was being coached and coaching others through habit formation, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it can and should be enjoyable to set goals and form habits. Habits loops are more easily formed around pleasure.
My friend, we were doing it all wrong!
